Lewiston, ME CT technologists work with modern, high‑end imaging technology , supporting a wide range of diagnostic and emergency imaging needs. Exposure to complex and diverse cases , including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and inpatient/outpatient imaging—great for skill growth. Responsibilities Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders and radiology protocols Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images while maintaining radiation safety standards Prepare and position patients for CT scans, verifying patient identity and explaining procedures Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and safety Assist Radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures Process and transmit CT images to PACS for interpretation and storage Monitor patients during procedures and respond to patient care needs Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital compliance standards Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred. 2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required. 3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required. 4. Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. 5. ARRT-CT Certification is required 6. Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. 7. Proficient computer skills.
