Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Perform radiologic procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment, specializing in ER or OR settings with a focus on portable imaging for patients ranging from young children to geriatrics. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply trauma imaging skills using advanced radiology technology while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for imaging, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety. Perform radiographic procedures under radiologist direction, utilizing independent judgment for optimal imaging techniques. Execute portable imaging assignments, primarily in Emergency Room or Operating Room areas. Operate and manually control radiology equipment such as GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner systems. Follow radiation safety protocols adhering to ALARA principles, employing patient shielding and appropriate equipment settings. Prepare sterile equipment as needed and uphold strict infection control standards. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in patient records, RIS, and PACS systems. Monitor patients for contrast media reactions and respond promptly to any adverse events. Support educational initiatives by assisting in training new hires or students when required. Participate in a rotating schedule that includes Monday through Friday shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every other weekend rotation. Collaborate effectively with management and supervisory teams via interviews conducted over MS Teams or phone.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active
ARRT - RT
certification. Minimum of 2 years' experience in trauma imaging at Level I or II trauma centers. Proven expertise in ER, inpatient, outpatient, or OR radiology. Competent with imaging technologies including GE, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner. Strong knowledge of trauma protocols and radiology procedures. Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Schedule:
5 to 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, including every other weekend.
