POSITION SUMMARY
The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the technologist is responsible for
EMR/PACS
navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma/GED. Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
Licensure/ Certification:
BLS American Heart Association; ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
2 years' radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.
Licensure/ Certification:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) registered OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
