Job Description

We are looking for an MRI Technologist who is experienced, dedicated and professional to join The Imaging Center! The ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and challenging environment, performing imaging exams to meet the needs of our patients and with superb customer service. The successful candidate will be highly capable with the technical skills needed for this job and is a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a variety of situations in our outpatient facility.
Job Highlights:
Supportive and accountable team to work with while performing Magnetics Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. Provides professional and compassionate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Ensures MRI Safety for self, patient and team.
Qualifications:
Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field. CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC within 90 days of hire. Required 2 years minimum experience as an MRI Technologist.
Responsibilities:
Verifies patient's clinical history, ensuring that information is documented and readily available to the Radiologist. Prepares patient for procedures, adhering to the highest MRI Safety guidelines, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gaining cooperation and minimize anxiety. Selects and operates Magnetic Resonance system and software, surface coils, physiologic gating devices and associated equipment to achieve desired results. Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Prepares/administers contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluates images and data for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, and pushes images to picture archiving and communication system (PACS) as the accepted electronic format for permanent patient record, assures proper identification is evident. Maintains a clean work environment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department leader. Follows established protocols required by the ACR and Radiologist. Completes MRI Safety Clearance for patients with surgical and non-surgical implants or artifacts. Works well independently and on a team, seeks guidance where needed. Able to resolve routine problems in the moment for system and software operations. Be able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Additional duties as assigned.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
