Job Description

About the role We are seeking a motivated Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee day-to-day imaging operations, train MA's and radiologic technologists on digital X‑ray software and positioning, and provide hands-on patient care on the floor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rad tech looking to grow into a leadership role. Key responsibilities Train and mentor MA's and radiology technologists on digital X‑ray software, workflow, and best practices Provide training and hands‑on coaching for proper patient positioning and imaging techniques Perform diagnostic X‑rays and deliver direct patient care with compassion and professionalism Serve as the go‑to resource for troubleshooting software, image quality, and positioning issues Maintain or help enforce department policies, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and administration to optimize patient throughput and imaging quality Assist with scheduling, workflow optimization, and onboarding of new staff as needed Document training activities and maintain competency records Qualifications ARRT (or state equivalent) certification in Radiography required Active state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist 3-5 years (or more) clinical radiologic technologist experience, with demonstrated proficiency in general radiography Experience with digital X‑ray systems and PACS; comfortable teaching others Strong clinical skills in patient positioning and radiation safety Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Prior experience training or mentoring staff Experience with workflow optimization or quality improvement projects What we offer Competitive pay (commensurate with experience) Benefits package (medical/dental/vision, retirement, paid time off) — customize per employer Professional development and leadership growth opportunities
