Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic imaging environment performing advanced CT procedures, where precision, patient care, and technical expertise are highly valued. As a key member of the radiology team, you will utilize state-of-the-art technology to deliver high-quality diagnostic images, supporting clinical decision-making and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Current certification and registration as a CT Technologist (ARRT CT) Active BLS certification Proven experience working with computerized tomography equipment Solid understanding of patient safety and radiation protection practices Skilled in explaining complex procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and compliance Experience administering IV contrast media and monitoring for potential adverse reactions Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain comprehensive patient and procedure documentation Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for CT examinations, explaining procedures and obtaining necessary medical histories Set up, calibrate, and operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images Maintain and stock imaging rooms, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are readily available Monitor patients during exams, particularly when administering IV contrast, and provide immediate care in the event of a reaction Assist radiologists during complex procedures such as biopsies, ensuring sterile technique and adequate preparation Adhere to radiation safety protocols, demonstrating knowledge of ALARA principles at all times Accurately index and manage studies within PACS and the Radiology Information System (RIS), ensuring efficient workflow and image accessibility Foster an environment of collegiality, open communication, and respect for patient privacy and diverse backgrounds Bring your expertise to a supportive radiology team focused on delivering exceptional imaging services.
