Job Description
Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality patient care while advancing your technical skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a specialized CT professional, you'll play a vital role performing and supporting computerized tomographic and related radiology procedures. This opportunity immerses you in a collaborative atmosphere, alongside radiologists and medical staff dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic services.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience operating CT imaging equipment and performing diagnostic radiology procedures. Current certification in Radiologic Technology; ARRT registration in computed tomography preferred. Thorough knowledge of radiation protection principles and ALARA techniques. Ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately to patients. Familiarity with administering intravenous contrast media and monitoring for potential reactions. Skill with PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS), including image review, study indexing, and electronic documentation. Capacity for sterile technique to support procedures such as biopsies. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on collaboration and maintaining a positive, respectful team culture.Schedule/Hours:
Contract-based position with shift options tailored to facility needs.Primary Responsibilities:
Perform CT scans and, as needed, general diagnostic imaging following established clinical protocols. Consult with physicians and review clinical information to deliver accurate, relevant examinations. Prepare patients and procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly maintained. Administer contrast agents using appropriate methods, providing immediate patient care in the event of reactions. Maintain high-quality imaging standards, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to PACS as well as proper completion in RIS. Support radiologists during complex sterile procedures, upholding the highest safety and infection control standards. Deliver thorough and accurate documentation for all imaging studies. Maintain open and effective communication with patients and team members while embodying core values of professionalism, innovation, and inclusivity.
