Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at our Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This is a casual position that will work as needed by the department. There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available to pick up. Must pick up a minimum of 1 shift per month and 1 holiday per year. If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3pm
- 11pm, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $6.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials. If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 11pm
- 7am, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $8.
00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials. The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT). Responsibilities Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs individualized, compassionate patient care Performs high quality examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs. Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes Follows infection control guidelines Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members Required Qualifications ARRT Radiology Tech Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Preferred Qualifications Previous healthcare experience 1 year experience in a related role Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements Additional certifications in Imaging
