Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist will provide diagnostic radiologic exams for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Primarily responsible for operation of X-ray equipment.
Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:
Perform radiology exams such as chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, hips, extremities, sinus, and skull work. Produce high quality and accurate diagnostic X-ray images. Applies knowledge of ALARA Follows policies, procedures, and systems of the department to meet the mission and goals of the clinic. Ensure quality control is performed within the guidelines designated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Assists with maintenance of equipment to ensure patient safety and proper working order. Enter exam information into the radiologist's reporting system for the generation and communication of a radiology/radiologist's report to the ordering provider via the EMR. Educate and train others in operation of radiographic equipment, procedures, image quality and exposure techniques. Comply with all radiography policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control. Demonstrates room and equipment cleanliness between patients. Interacts with patients, providers, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor and Director of Ancillary Service Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Responsible to function as a technologist in all areas of licensure as needed. Responsible to assist all modalities as needed. Provide additional imaging as determined by patient demand. Ability to provide weekend coverage as needed as defined by patient demand.
Competencies:
Knowledge of radiology policies, procedures, protocols, and quality control guidelines. Knowledge of radiology and MRI safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations. Knowledge of X-ray equipment uses and maintenance. Accuracy-Ability to communicate effectively in the English language verbally and in writing. Computer skills-Proficient ability to use computer, PACS and electronic medical records. Confidentiality-Maintain patient, staff, and employee confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations. Customer Service-Friendly, cheerful, and helpful to patient and others. Ability to meet patients and others needs while following Lakeview policies and procedures. Detail Oriented-Ability to pay attention to details of a procedure or task. Flexibility-Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities. Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiology Meet basic requirements for Centers of Medicare and Medicaid and other applicable federal, state, and local agencies. Computer knowledge or experience with EMR and PACS. Maintain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) qualifications. Lab experience preferred but willing to train
Environmentally controlled radiology department. Occasionally high pressure or emergent situations. Exposure to bodily fluids. Possible exposure to infectious agents, communicable diseases, strong magnetic field, ionizing radiation, contrasts, and other conditions common to a radiology and medical office environment. May wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and mask. Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, and other members of the public.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, and speaking. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed. Frequent use of computer, keyboard, phone, copy and fax machines. 2026

Wage Range:
$34.00 - $41.00 per hour Compensation decisions are made based off several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification, and licensure as well as internal equity. Wages are just one part of our employee compensation package.
