A typical day will include:
Performing routine and specialized x-ray examinations. Preparing patients for examinations, positioning and / or immobilizing the patient in accordance with the type of procedure to be administered, and while considering the safety, physical, and psychological needs of the patient Performing examination, adjusting control panel settings, such as voltage, amperage, and time of exposure, as necessary Processing data assuring optimal imaging has been achieved prior to discharge of the patient, re-imaging as necessary Assisting medical staff as required, preparing solutions using sterile techniques and administering barium and IV contrast solutions Dawing lab specimens in the lab as needed
Job Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a Radiology Technologist program with an Associate Degree from an accredited institution
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Physical:
Ability to stand, walk, bend for prolonged periods of time This position is: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
