Job Description
Mercy is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams supporting accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. You will operate radiologic equipment, position patients safely, follow ALARA and infection control standards, and collaborate closely with nurses and physicians. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and protocols Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment and imaging software safely and effectively Position and prepare patients, providing clear instructions and compassionate support Apply radiation safety principles and follow all infection control and regulatory standards Accurately document exams and maintain records in PACS/RIS and EHR systems Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to support timely diagnosis Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding appropriately to changes in condition Participate in quality assurance, equipment checks, and continuous process improvement Support training of new staff or students as requested by leadership Required Skills Diagnostic radiography Radiology equipment operation Patient positioning Radiation safety (ALARA)
