Job Summary:
Coordinates reporting and breast imaging results communication and follow-up to support safe, timely, and compliant care across the breast health continuum.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews breast imaging dictated reports to ensure compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines. Collaborates with radiologists, breast health nurse navigators, mammographers, sonographers to implement proper patient care follow up from imaging results. Enters results and addended results for breast imaging exams into the Mammography Reporting System (MSR). Creates appropriate combined mammography/breast ultrasound result letters with breast density notifications and send to patients per mandated regulations. Checks letter verification reports in MRS to confirm documentation on result letter sent to each patient. Verifies accuracy and mail recall letters to all patients who need short-term follow-up. Monitors the overdue patient reports in MRS and resolve exams that were not properly linked or edit notes and "close" if we know reason why not completed. Coordinates patient care imaging reports through the continuum of breast health services. Assists imaging leadership with ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including the MQSA and ACR guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing
