The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist works under the supervision of leadership. The MRI technologists perform scans using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to produce images of bones, organs, and soft tissue. They also prepare and administer contrast agents to obtain some images. MRI technologist can work in various clinical environments, such as the hospital or diagnostic imaging centers. Skills and Abilities Essential Technical/Motor Skills
  • Inputting data, calibrating equipment, answering telephone, speaking clearly, manipulating small items, fine motor skills, knowledge of body mechanics and CPR. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Interpersonal Skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, physicians, etc. Must work well as a team member. Essential Physical Requirements
