09/02/2026 Find your calling at Mercy! The Senior Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Responsibilities for this role also include serving as a resource and acting as a lead while leadership is unavailable. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.
Position Details:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
Experience :
One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelors degree program
Certification/Registration:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT(R ; Basic Life Support (BLS).
Licensure:
State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Capability to make informed decisions regarding imaging procedures, patient care, and team management. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as performing imaging procedures while supervising staff. Ability to lead and motivate a team Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Thorough understanding of protocols and ability to adjust as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Pursue continued ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties. Why Mercy?
