Overview
Job Summary
Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in 2 or more specialties. Job Responsibilities
- Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
- Exercise judgement in selecting andputing settings for each patient.
- Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
- Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required toply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
- Completes assigned goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
Minimum Experience
Experience as obtained throughpletion through Radiology Technology Program
Minimum Special Skills
Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R).; BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; New graduate will obtain required registry within 120 days as required; State license as required
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan andanize work .
