The ARRT CT Technologist at AMI Outpatient Clinic performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) procedures to aid patient diagnosis and treatment under a radiologist's guidance. Using advanced CT imaging technology at AMI Outpatient Clinic, the technologist creates high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort per ACR guidelines. This role requires teamwork, precise equipment operation, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. The technologist supports quality improvement and patient-centered care at AMI Outpatient Clinic. Minimum Qualifications Required Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent ARRT certification in Radiography (R) ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within 90 days of hire Active Montana Radiologic Technologist license American Heart Association BLS certification Preferred 1 year of clinical CT experience Experience with multi-slice CT scanners (e.g., Siemens Somatom, GE Revolution) Experience in CT exams (neuro, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA, musculoskeletal) Proficiency with IV starts and contrast administration Essential Job Functions Performs diagnostic CT exams at AMI Outpatient Clinic, ensuring image quality and safety. Follows ACR and Montana state radiation safety guidelines, screening for contraindications and pregnancy. Works with radiologists and quality coordinators at AMI Outpatient Clinic to optimize CT protocols and ensure safety. Positions patients and selects appropriate imaging parameters for optimal results. Adjusts CT scanner settings to improve images while minimizing radiation exposure per ALARA principles. Administers IV contrast (if certified) and monitors for adverse reactions. Manages exam documentation, billing, and archiving in EMR systems used by AMI Outpatient Clinic. Reviews prior imaging and records for timely reporting. Inspects and maintains CT equipment at AMI Outpatient Clinic, reporting issues promptly. Participates in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing education. Keeps CT imaging suite at AMI Outpatient Clinic clean, safe, and compliant with infection control and safety policies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of CT physics, imaging techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy. Skilled in operating multi-slice CT scanners and post-processing software. Understands radiation safety, dose optimization, and ALARA principles. Provides empathetic, professional patient care. Works well in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision at AMI Outpatient Clinic. Communicates and collaborates with teams effectively. Uses EMR, PACS, Microsoft Office, and office equipment proficiently. Solves problems and optimizes CT protocols. Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA.
