Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Advance your career in imaging by utilizing your expertise as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside talented clinical professionals while performing cutting-edge interventional procedures and contributing to patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour day shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00am - 7:00pm Weekend-based position
Key Qualifications:
Proficient experience as an IR Tech or in Imaging - IR Tech roles Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, with relevant state licensure as required Thorough knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, imaging equipment, and sterile technique Ability to handle on-call and call-back responsibilities with strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication abilities, with a focus on patient safety and compassion Adaptability to float as needed to other units or assignments within the facility Willingness to cover holiday shifts as necessary
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist in a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures under physician direction Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and observe patient safety protocols throughout imaging processes Operate and maintain IR equipment, troubleshooting and adjusting as required for quality imaging Prioritize accurate image capture, annotation, and documentation in accordance with clinical standards Respond promptly to call-back and on-call demands, including emergency or urgent procedures Exhibit a collaborative approach, working closely with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
