Job Description

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to: Radiology/Imaging Manager and Department Director
DEFINITION OF POSITION CT
Technologists prepare patients for exams, position them for scans, administer contrast if needed, and ensure patient safety and comfort. They also interpret physician instructions, evaluate image quality, and may assist with other radiologic procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional High school graduate or GED equivalent and must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT) and graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. (R)(T) may complete on the job training but must take the Registry within 1 year of training. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and other Window application skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must maintain BLS/CPR credentials with an AHA program. Must maintain Licensure credentials for each modality registered. Must maintain any compliance requirements for ACR and Joint Commission.
