Job Description

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to: Radiology/Imaging Manager and Department Director
DEFINITION OF POSITION
Responsible for performing all aspects of MRI imaging procedures, patient safety protocols, and assisting with regulatory compliance. The MRI Tech will work closely with the Radiologists and other medical professionals in order to achieve successful diagnostic images and maintain patient safety/comfort at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS A.
Professional High school graduate or GED equivalent and must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT) and graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. (R)(T) may complete on the job training but must take the Registry within 1 year of training. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and other Windows application skills. Must maintain BLS/CPR credentials with an AHA program. Must maintain Licensure credentials for each modality registered. Must maintain any compliance requirements for ACR and Joint Commission.
