This opportunity centers on supporting physicians and technologists during a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging interventions.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract position
Qualifications & Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in interventional radiology nursing or imaging-related nursing environments Solid knowledge of imaging procedures, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures Collaborate closely with physicians, radiology technologists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient care Monitor patient status during procedures, responding swiftly to changes in condition Administer contrast media and medications as directed, following all safety standards Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and follow-up requirements Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
