Yes Duties Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan. Operate MRI scanners with precision, adjusting parameters to optimize image quality based on clinical indications. Perform additional imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access when required. Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination or injury. Ensure accurate documentation of imaging procedures using medical terminology and recordkeeping standards. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to review images for diagnostic quality and completeness. Manage patient safety regulations by monitoring for adverse reactions or contraindications during imaging procedures. Assist in maintaining equipment functionality through routine checks, calibration, and troubleshooting. Support patient care by providing compassionate communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience. Utilize PACS efficiently for image storage, retrieval, and sharing in accordance with hospital policies. Requirements Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program; additional certifications in CT or sonography are advantageous. Proven experience operating MRI scanners along with familiarity with other modalities such as

CT, DEXA

scans, ultrasound (sonography), and vascular access procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiology principles relevant to diagnostic imaging. Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment safely while adhering to equipment safety procedures. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. Ability to perform IV insertions and vascular access techniques accurately and safely. Excellent understanding of patient safety regulations and aseptic techniques to prevent infections or complications. Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for managing digital images effectively. Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology practices and the ability to contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
