Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Take on a dynamic role in a hospital imaging team specializing in Interventional Radiology. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled technologists committed to excellence in diagnostic imaging and patient care. The assignment spans 13 weeks, providing vital support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday) Self-scheduling in collaboration with the team On-call responsibility: typically 5-6 days monthly, including two weekend days No special scheduling requests permitted No more than three days of requested time off during the contract
Qualifications:
Completion of an AMA-approved, accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT registration (Radiologic Technologist Registry) Active American Heart Association BLS certification ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of hire RCIS certification preferred, though not required No pending licenses or certifications accepted
Key Duties:
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by interpreting physicians in interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular surgery Assist with diagnostic, routine, and emergent cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures Operate radiation-producing equipment according to departmental and safety guidelines Prepare patients, monitor cardiac and hemodynamic data, and support scrub roles during procedures Ensure accurate collection and maintenance of radiology quality assurance records Manage dosimetry badge distribution/collection and maintain inventory of specialized procedural supplies
