Has knowledge of all aseptic and sterile technique to assist physician from an operational and infection control perspective. Performs all radiography when needed. Essential Functions Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions. Preparing equipment for use as needed. Proficient in the use of a C-arm Preparing examination rooms for patient exams. Positioning patients for imaging exams. Monitoring patients during exams. Prepares procedure table including all catheters, guidewires, medical devices and any other needs based on the physician's instructions. Understands, all interventional inventory and is responsible for procurement, keeping par levels and monitoring to assure expirations do not occur. Performs all duties in an aseptic and/or sterile environment as per infection control guidelines. Documenting information with computers. Reporting important information to the physician. Ensuring safety of patients during exams. Producing diagnostic images of soft tissues. Administering targeted doses of radiation to the patient's body to treat cancer or other diseases. Degree in Radiologic Technology, Interventional experience preferred.
