Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our fast-paced orthopedic surgery practice. This dynamic role will require providing imaging services that support all aspects of orthopedics, pain management, spine surgery, and podiatry. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. A strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and the operation of various imaging systems is essential.
Duties:
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively, adhering to safety protocols and adjusting to the demands of urgent and emergent cases.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using an electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine the most appropriate imaging techniques based on each case.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure peak functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiologic technology, as well as best practices in emergency medicine and orthopedic care.
  • Travel between practice locations to perform X-rays, when needed.
Skills:
  • Proficient in diagnostic radiology techniques, particularly X-ray.
  • Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to operate complex imaging systems efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare staff.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems.
