Job Description
CT Technologist Position Summary Performs all computed tomography examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis. CT technologist integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Perform CT scans, including patient positioning, scanner set-up, radiation exposure technique, image acquisition and post-processing. 2. Follow all National Patient Safety Goals. 3. Utilizes sterile technique and performs venipuncture and vascular access. 4. Provide recordkeeping of patient history and symptoms. 5. Review orders, explain procedure, answer questions and practice the principles of patient satisfaction. 6. Assist physician in the performance of invasive and/or interventional CT procedures. 7. Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory.
