Morristown, NJ Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support complex diagnostic and interventional procedures, including vascular and neuro-interventional cases . The technologist will work closely with radiologists, vascular surgeons, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. This role requires strong scrub-assist experience, fluoroscopy knowledge, sterile technique, critical thinking, and radiographic licensure . The position is similar to a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), but current radiographic licensure is mandatory to operate X-ray/fluoroscopic equipment . Key Responsibilities Scrub alongside proceduralists during complex diagnostic, vascular, and neuro-interventional procedures. Assist radiologists, vascular surgeons, and other proceduralists throughout interventional cases. Demonstrate strong knowledge of floor- and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic systems . Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products and supplies during procedures. Anticipate procedural needs and apply critical-thinking skills during complex and neuro-interventional cases. Operate power injectors for iodinated contrast media during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintain clear and effective closed-loop communication with the procedural team. Prepare procedural trays and maintain strict sterile technique. Follow infection prevention and control practices throughout procedures. Work collaboratively with nurses, radiologists, vascular surgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members. Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record. Send and manage images through Sectra/PACS systems. Assist with post-intervention groin management as required. Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced interventional environment. Follow departmental policies, radiation safety procedures, and patient-care standards. Maintain readiness and knowledge of equipment used during interventional procedures. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure. Strong scrub-assist experience in interventional procedures. Experience with vascular and/or neuro-interventional procedures preferred. High School Diploma/GED and Associate Degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program. Strong knowledge of fluoroscopic equipment and interventional radiology procedures. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment. On-Call Requirements:
On-call every 4th weekend 1 weekday of on-call per week Ideal Candidate The strongest candidate will be an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist or CVT with 3-5 years of experience and current NJ radiographic licensure , who is confident scrubbing and assisting during complex vascular and neuro-interventional procedures. Strong fluoroscopy, sterile technique, PACS/EMR, and critical-thinking skills are essential.
Pay:
