This position offers the opportunity to work in various hospitals and imaging centers, providing specialized interventional radiology procedures that improve patient outcomes. As a Travel Interventional Radiology Technician, you will utilize your expertise in radiologic imaging, patient care, and radiation safety to support complex procedures such as angiography, biopsies, and vascular interventions. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help ensure seamless operations and outstanding patient experiences in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Operate advanced radiologic imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, and nuclear medicine devices to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, embolizations, and other vascular interventions by preparing the necessary equipment and ensuring optimal imaging quality. Implement strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures while adhering to regulatory standards. Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, maintaining aseptic techniques, and monitoring vital signs throughout interventions. Prepare and calibrate medical imaging equipment, ensuring proper operation of radiologic imaging tools including X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, and ultrasound devices like sonography. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, including technical parameters, patient information, and safety compliance records. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers to facilitate rapid diagnostic evaluation and emergency interventions. Experience Proven experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technician or in a similar radiologic technology role with exposure to diagnostic radiology procedures. Prior experience in urgent care settings or emergency room environments is highly desirable for handling acute cases efficiently. Demonstrated proficiency with medical imaging modalities including CT scans, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine techniques, and general radiography. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to interventional radiology procedures to assist accurately during complex interventions. Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection measures in compliance with health regulations. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is a strong advantage for managing high-acuity cases requiring rapid diagnostics. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with additional training or certification in interventional radiography is preferred. 3-5 years exp Scrub assist
