Job Overview:
To provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.
Qualifications:
Required:
ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required. NJ radiology license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Preferred:
Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for: Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed. Minimization of radiation exposure. Ensuring patient comfort. Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations. Processing radiographic images going to PACS. Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images. Processing x-ray requests. Assists in instruction of student technologists. Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
