POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Manager, the CT Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the daily operations, workflow, and CT staff for multiple locations. He/she provides administrative and supervisory support to the Manager and Director by assigning, scheduling, monitoring, and evaluating the work of assigned staff. Directs and trains Radiography students. Additionally, he/she prepares for and operates CT scanner(s) and administers oral and IV contrast following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer-generated scans of patients for diagnostic use. Ensures the production of high-quality exams to include diagnostic CT and CT guided interventional procedures (biopsies and ablations). Advanced CT knowledge to include Cardiac CT and AI post-processing programs. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new CT exams. Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking and independent problem solving and decision-making skills relating to the coordination of departmental activities and patient care activities. Acts a role model for all the team members in effort to lead a collaborative team.
EDUCATION
Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program and registered in CT by the
ARRT. BS
preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three to five years experience as a CT technologist and proficient in performing all procedures pertinent to area of responsibility. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience desired.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Registered in Radiologic Technology and CT by the ARRT and a current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP. Current CPR certification thru the American Heart Association. Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and ability perform a variety of CT exams on patients. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vascular systems. Excellent interpersonal communication (oral, written, presentation) skills. Ability to perform tasks accurately with attention to detail, changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function independently and competently in stressful situations. Responds positively to changes in the work environment and has ability to work well in various settings, adjusting according to patient needs. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system, and with patients, family members, co-workers, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Patient Care Services staff members, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve. Proficiency in window-based applications, Word and Excel desired. Pay Range:
