As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. A typical day for a Radiologic Technologist may include: Performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while following established protocols to support accurate and timely diagnoses
Preparing patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process
Positioning patients accurately and operating radiologic equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
Applying radiation safety principles and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to protect patients, colleagues, and yourself
Reviewing images for quality and completeness, identifying the need for additional views when appropriate, and communicating with radiologists and providers
Accurately documenting imaging procedures, patient information, and exam details within the electronic medical record and imaging systems
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure efficient workflow
Maintaining imaging equipment, monitoring supplies, and reporting equipment concerns to support uninterrupted patient care

hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
hold an active Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP)
