MAJOR FUNCTION

: Performs screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations as prescribed by a licensed physician or practitioner utilizing radiation producing equipment within established departmental protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Education & Experience:

Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Radiologic Technology with advanced education and training in Mammography. Two (2) years of mammographic imaging experience is preferred. Experience with Mammography Quality Control procedures and invasive breast procedures is preferred. DEXA scan imaging experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

NJ DEP License required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required. Advanced certification in Mammography required, CPR/AHA BLS certified required.
