Job Description

A full-time Radiologic Technologist opportunity is available within the Radiology Department at a 198-bed Level III Trauma Center in Farmington, New Mexico. This regional medical center serves the Four Corners area of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah and provides comprehensive care across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties for patients of all ages. The Radiologic Technologist performs general diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment using General Electric radiographic equipment. The role supports a full-service imaging department where accuracy, efficiency, and patient-centered care are essential. Documentation and imaging workflows are managed through the Cerner electronic medical record system. This position includes varied shift coverage and on-call responsibilities to support continuous imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform general radiography imaging procedures across all patient populations. Operate GE radiology equipment in accordance with established protocols. Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Document procedures and manage imaging records using Cerner. Respond to on-call imaging needs as scheduled. Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to support diagnostic accuracy. Follow radiation safety and infection control standards at all times. Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume acute care environment.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program required. Minimum of two years of acute care radiology experience required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be obtained after hire as applicable. Ability to obtain New Mexico state or Compact licensure prior to start (if not currently held). Strong technical skills in general radiography and patient care. Ability to work varied shifts and participate in on-call rotation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
