Job Description
Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition to achieve optimal diagnostic quality. Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations. Document procedures and patient information accurately within the Epic electronic medical record system. Follow radiation safety standards and departmental quality assurance guidelines. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational concerns or equipment issues. Participate in departmental workflows and support efficient patient throughput. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License. Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R). Current ARRT certification in Mammography (M). Minimum of three (3) years of Mammography Technologist experience. Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms. Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills.
