Job Description

Mandarin Speaking Orthopedic Office Xray (X-ray) Technologist Flushing, NY 11354 $40
  • $50 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time $40
  • $50 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time As an X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic xray imaging procedures on patients to help the orthopedic surgeon diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions.
This position will involve performing xrays on patients in an outpatient orthopedic office using a brand new digital Konica Minolta KDR Ultra U-Arm which has programmed presets and positioning for each study type (adjustable). All studies are only performed on patients receiving care in the office (we are not an imaging center, so we do not take outside imaging requests), and there is on average about 20 studies per day (10-30) depending on doctor patient volume.
Duties:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment
  • Ensure that all necessary safety precautions are taken during procedures
  • Evaluate the images for quality and accuracy
  • Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures performed
  • Communicate with physicians regarding patient results
  • QA/QC (this program will be involve simple daily/monthly and quarterly tasks)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
