The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients efficiently and effectively. The Radiologic Technologist (RT) will work closely with the medical team to ensure high-quality patient care in our urgent care facility.
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic examinations, including X-rays, as ordered by healthcare providers. Position patients properly to obtain the best possible images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment in accordance with safety standards and protocols. Ensure accurate patient information and maintain proper documentation of all procedures performed. Assist healthcare providers in administering contrast media for certain imaging procedures. Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and ensure they meet diagnostic standards. Collaborate with the medical team to prioritize and coordinate imaging procedures based on patient needs. Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and ensure equipment is properly stocked and maintained. Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the radiology department. Provide education and support to patients regarding imaging procedures and safety measures. Follow all relevant regulations and guidelines regarding radiation safety and patient care. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. State licensure or certification as required by the state regulatory agency. CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and equipment operation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred but not required .
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as necessary. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate radiologic equipment and position patients accurately. Ability to work in a radiation-controlled environment and adhere to safety protocols.

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
