Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Certified Radiology Technologist (Rad-Tech) to join our healthcare Ambulatory Surgical Team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians efficiently and accurately in an operating room setting. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly skilled in medical imaging techniques, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Full-time, Part-time, PRN/Contingent status options. Duties Operate a C-arm for specialties requiring x-rays including podiatry, pain management and general cases. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly for optimal results. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive procedures and ensure patient safety at all times. Collaborate with physicians to interpret images and assist in diagnostic evaluations by providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Adhere to all safety protocols related to radiation exposure, including proper shielding and equipment calibration. Document all procedures accurately in patient records while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current licensure and advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to continually improve service quality. Support ancillary departments with pre/post operative care and environmental services. Engage in quality support and patient excellence with leadership and peers. Other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Proficiency in operating advanced imaging modalities such as C-arm. Experience working in urgent care settings, emergency rooms, ambulatory/outpatient surgical centers and/or hospitals. Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and the ability to assist physicians in complex cases. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain aseptic technique during invasive procedures and ensure patient safety throughout imaging processes.
