OhioHealth is seeking a Sr Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure high-quality radiographic exams, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care. You will follow safety and infection control protocols, use state-of-the-art imaging technology, and provide compassionate support to patients and families. Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced diagnostic radiologic procedures, including trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgical imaging, following established protocols and physician orders. Ensure accurate patient identification, obtain relevant clinical history, and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding. Position patients safely and effectively, selecting appropriate technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure. Utilize PACS, RIS, and EMR systems to manage imaging workflows, document procedures, and ensure accurate association of images with patient records. Assess image quality and collaborate with radiologists to repeat or adjust exams as needed to meet diagnostic requirements. Assist with contrast procedures as allowed by policy, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and escalate concerns promptly. Support workflow coordination, prioritize urgent and STAT cases, and help maintain efficient throughput in high-volume settings. Participate in training, mentoring, and competency assessment of new technologists and students, modeling best practices in imaging and patient care. Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting, reporting malfunctions and coordinating service when necessary. Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards, supporting quality assurance and accreditation activities. Demonstrate compassionate, culturally sensitive communication with patients, families, and colleagues, consistent with Ohio Health values. Engage in continuing education and skills development to stay current with evolving imaging technologies, protocols, and safety standards.
