Primary Patient Population:
Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area Cancer Patients Primary skills utilized/learned: Performs a variety of technical procedures in diagnostic radiology and one specialty area of radiology for the diagnosis of diseases in children through adult patients. Specialty areas are CT and Breast Imaging. MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with: The Mamm/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients. Awards or Recognitions the unit has received: All Mammography/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing Mammography/ Breast Imaging & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans. Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) ARRT M credential or obtains within one year of employment. Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH) American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
Preferred Qualifications:
One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in Mammography.
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
