In this vital role, you will operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging techniques, physiology, and anatomy, with experience in emergency medicine and trauma settings. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality imaging services that meet rigorous safety and clinical standards. Responsibilities Prepare patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan Operate CT imaging equipment with precision, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines Perform advanced imaging procedures including PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and other diagnostic radiology techniques as required Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to obtain optimal images for diagnostic evaluation Maintain strict aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection control issues Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical parameters in medical records Monitor patients during scans for adverse reactions or discomfort and respond promptly Assist in emergency situations utilizing your experience in urgent care, emergency room settings, or Level I trauma centers Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing training Uphold compliance with all safety standards related to radiation exposure and patient confidentiality Requirements Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training in CT imaging from an accredited program Proven experience operating CT scanners in diverse clinical environments, including Level II trauma centers or emergency departments Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and other diagnostic modalities Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology Hands-on experience with ultrasound (sonography), X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and Level I trauma center operations is highly desirable Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for effective patient interaction Ability to work efficiently under pressure in urgent care or emergency settings while maintaining accuracy If you are committed to delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services through technical expertise and compassionate patient care, we encourage you to apply today.
