Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Toledo, OH. The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging exams, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate closely with radiologists and the broader care team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality. Screen patients for MRI safety, including reviewing for implants, devices, and contraindications prior to scanning. Explain procedures to patients, address questions or concerns, and position patients for exams to maximize comfort and image accuracy. Operate and monitor MRI equipment, adjusting scan parameters as needed for optimal diagnostic results. Administer contrast media under appropriate protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the radiology information system (RIS/PACS). Adhere to all safety standards, including MRI zone protocols and radiation/magnetic field safety guidelines. Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic imaging. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked imaging suite. Required Qualifications ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI, or ARRT certification in Radiography with MRI registry eligibility. Current State of Ohio Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable). Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI training program. Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging physics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers and positioning. Preferred Qualifications Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
