Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.

• A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. + on-call requirements.
• A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.

+ Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain documentation. + Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. + Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology + Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing + Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

• Physical Requirements:

• + Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. + Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

• Personal Protective Equipment:

• + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Pay Range
• Minimum hourly: $29.

00 Maximum hourly: $44.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
