Job Description
Mercy seeks an Advanced Radiology Intern to support diagnostic imaging within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Working closely with technologists and radiologists, you will assist with advanced CT, MRI, and X-ray procedures, prepare and position patients, uphold radiation safety, and ensure accurate documentation. You'll train in a collaborative, compassionate environment that values innovation, diversity, and continuous learning while contributing directly to patient care across Mercy's leading Midwest facilities. Responsibilities Assist radiologists and technologists with advanced imaging procedures Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols Review images for basic quality standards before radiologist interpretation Document procedures accurately in EHR and imaging systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support diagnostic workflows Maintain and stock imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies Participate in case reviews, in-services, and skills training Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives in radiology Uphold Mercy's mission of compassionate, patient-centered care Required Skills Radiologic imaging techniques (CT/MRI/X-ray)
