Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Radiology Technologist performs medical radiologic imaging studies including X-ray and Fluoroscopy to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patients of the Bethany Children's Center. The Radiology Technologist not only utilized their training and experience to provide excellent images, but they also endeavor to provide a safe, effective, and caring environment for our patients.
Work Schedule:
This is a temporary position with full-time hours and the team provides coverage•Monday•Friday, but the specific schedule will be determined by the Director of Diagnostic Services.
This position may work:
7:00a•3:30p, 8:00a•4:30p depending on the needs of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with hospital leaders, physicians, and other Allied Health professionals to provide excellent imaging services through development of ongoing quality improvement practices. Provides personal pediatric care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient. The radiographer will provide the patient care essential to quality radiologic exams. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, developing radiographs, observing radiographic results, and making necessary adjustments. Operate and maintain mobile x-ray imaging services Work closely with Speech Language Pathologists, Radiologic Services partners, outpatient clinic providers, and the Radiology Medical Director to provide Fluoroscopic imaging for swallow studies and other related fluoroscopy needs. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree or higher in radiologic technology or a related field
Experience:
Experience working with Pediatrics preferred, but not required
License/Certification/Credential:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certification & BLS Preferred Pay:
$25.00•$31.00 per hour
