Role Overview:

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research-related ionizing radiation procedures. They independently conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring accurate data acquisition for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner supervision. Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduates of Specialty Training in Radiologic Technology; ARRT-R registry required within six months. Preference for a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Ability to perform procedures safely and effectively, with strong attention to detail and patient care.
