Role Overview:

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging procedures involving ionizing radiation. They independently operate or assist in completing CT scans and molecular imaging, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially. Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and care. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed. Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers. Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and perform CT scans as prescribed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting. Ability to perform and evaluate imaging procedures with attention to safety and quality standards. Strong communication and patient care skills.

Education:

Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's in a related field is preferred.
