Four 10-hour shifts across the week, primarily Monday through Friday! Rotating daylight and evening shifts. On-call holiday coverage hours and rotating weekend shifts, when needed. No travel required! The Magee MRI Department specializes in women's MRI imaging, offering access to a state-of-the-art Siemens Vida 3T MRI scanner, which has significantly enhanced our imaging quality, reduced scan times, and improved overall patient comfort! Our advanced diagnostic capabilities are tailored to the unique needs of our patient population, and our team is passionate about advancing women's health through cutting-edge imaging technology. The MRI Technologist Specialist is an integral part of hospital operations, serving as a resource to staff and ensuring high-quality care delivery in addition to performing advanced imaging procedures. Performs all job responsibilities of MRI Technologist Advanced, including procedures, MR safety and patient safety in the department, and maintaining patient information. Serves as a technical resource to Technologists on a daily basis, assisting with continuing education needs and training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications. Responsible for offering remediation with Technologists, when necessary, and participates in staff annual performance reviews. Responsible for Tech quality assurance program and their protocols alongside of or in place of the Lead MRI Tech, and assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment. When appropriate, creates and implements new training programs and/or assists with the startup of new offsite locations. Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques, shares pertinent information with department, and assists with research studies, when applicable. Assists with accreditation responsibilities and ensures that all quality control tests, safety standards, and procedures are conducted and documented. Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology. 3 years of experience in MRI required. ARRT MR or ARMRIT certified required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
