Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in various diagnostic procedures. Duties Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing discomfort. Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks to ensure accurate imaging results. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history accurately. Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and participate in ongoing education and training. Qualifications Certification in Mammography from an accredited program is required. Experience in nuclear medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or emergency room settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are necessary.
