Mammography Technologist

Category Imaging - Mammography Job Type Contract Step into an important role supporting women's health as a mammography professional specializing in diagnostic imaging. This is a 13-week contract opportunity utilizing advanced Hologic equipment to deliver compassionate, high-quality mammogram procedures.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour day shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday No on-call or weekend shifts

Qualifications:

Valid and current ARRT(M) certification Rhode Island State License required Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience operating Hologic mammography equipment highly preferred Strong knowledge of mammography positioning and image quality standards Excellent interpersonal skills for patient care and team collaboration Prior experience in a busy imaging setting desirable

Responsibilities:

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring adherence to imaging protocols and maintaining patient safety and comfort Prepare imaging equipment, calibrate machines, and verify image quality for each patient Document procedures accurately and maintain meticulous patient records Educate patients regarding the mammography process and provide reassurance as needed Cooperate effectively with radiologists and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, health codes, and confidentiality requirements
