Job Description
Job Summary Supervises, administers, and performs operations involved within the department.
- High school graduate or equivalent with additional college-level courses in the related area.
- The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products
- Four (4) to six (6) years of directly related experience with at least (2) years of experience as a supervisor.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.
- Responsible for making out a Maintenance requisition for any changeovers in setups.
- Must schedule orders out on machines in order to insure the best possible delivery date.
- Has the responsibility of making sure that the employees in the Extrusion department properly performs the following:
- Safety and handling precautions
- Set up procedures
- Day to day operator procedures
- Process controls
- All inspection criteria are met
- Verification of calibration of all laser mikes are checked once a week
- Weekly extruder shutdown is properly performed
- All records are filled out properly and in its entirety by the employee
