Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, where your clinical expertise will support vital patient care services in a dynamic medical environment. You will utilize advanced imaging technology to assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality results.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a specialization in Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) preferred Valid state license to practice (if applicable) Minimum of one year of recent IR Tech experience in a hospital or acute care setting Proficiency with advanced imaging equipment and digital radiography systems Familiarity with sterile technique and radiology safety standards Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist radiologists and physicians with image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (angiograms, embolizations, line placements, biopsies, etc.) Prepare and maintain sterile procedure trays and rooms according to protocol Operate and troubleshoot sophisticated imaging equipment Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, ensuring safety and comfort Accurately document patient history, procedures, and outcomes in the electronic medical record Adhere to best practices for radiation protection and infection control This contract position offers the chance to advance your career while making a direct impact on patient outcomes.
